Booking Through Thursday: Recent Serious
The most recent serious book I’ve read is Nineteen Minutes by Jody Picoult.
In nineteen minutes, you can mow the front lawn, color your hair, watch a third of a hockey game. In nineteen minutes, you can bake scones or get a tooth filled by a dentist; you can fold laundry for a family of fiveā¦.In nineteen minutes, you can stop the world, or you can just jump off it. In nineteen minutes, you can get revenge.
This affected me so much because as a parent, you couldn’t help but wonder about your child when they start going to school.

As a parent I can imagine this was a tough, serious read.
Your pick sounds SERIOUSLY GOOD! I’ve read Plain Truth and My Sister’s Keeper by Picoult, and I really enjoyed them both. Here’s my response.
