Stressful Week

Posted in work on September 20th, 2009 by admin – Be the first to comment

I just had one stressful week work-wise. Too many projects at the same time with myself entirely to be blamed. I’ve accepted so many designs because I’m worried that I won’t have enough for this month without even checking my schedule. Turned out I’m already swamped as it is. But I can handle this, I know I can. The only thing that’s making everything stressful is that I am so torn between turning off the laptop and spending time with the family. It’s not like I can work 24 hours a day right?

When and with whom was your first kiss?
I’ve had a few first kisses but I was either too young or it was too quick that I don’t think they count. The first real one was March 1996 with my 2nd boyfriend.

Do you believe that everything happens for a reason?
Sometimes but when it gets so bad, you just can’t help but ask why.

What would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
“I’ve been waiting for you.”

Paintball Gear Research

A client of mine wants to put up a paintball business here next year and asked my help in researching for the right location. Aside from that, he’s also paying me to look for affordable paintball guns. The first site that I saw is zephyrpaintaball.com which provides all kinds of paintball gear at the lowest prices. Aside from Tippmann Paintball Guns ranging from $299 to $479 (didn’t know guns could cost that much!) and other safety gears, they also sell casual clothing, barrels, goggles, harnesses and bags, scenario gears and other miscellaneous items. They have package specials, clearance items, monthly giveaways and free items like lanyard, shirts, mats and ground shipping. Definitely a paintballer’s paradise if you ask me.

Pigging Out

Just ordered a huge cake and a bucket of fried chicken for my daughter’s birthday. My mom arrived this morning to cook some of her specialty dishes so I have no doubt that I’ll be needing a weight loss pill by the end of the month. We’ve been eating like a horse for the past couple of weeks and have put aside our diet plans because it’s our daughter’s birthday month. Of course, we can always stay on a diet but why ruin a perfectly planned month when you can just enjoy the celebration. We can always worry about the extra weight next month.

I will resume my diet though because I wouldn’t want to be too heavy when December comes. The parties alone can make me gain four to six pounds so I need to have a very good plan if I want to stay in shape by January.

Shopping Influence

My brother wouldn’t believe me when I told him that the price for a motorcycle jack online ranges $48.99 to $348.99. He’s been looking for one and the cheapest he can get is no less than $100. So now, thanks to yours truly, he’s getting addicted to online window shopping too. Soon he’ll be like me and buy all his gadgets and toys online. And why not? Coupon codes and discounts are dime a dozen it’s a crime not to take advantage of them all. Well, that’s if you listen to your shopaholic side talking.

Seriously though, Amazon, Buy.com and Ebay are now my dearest friends.

iPod Videos — I can’t leave without them. It’s a must for parents who can’t turn on their TV sets at night because the little ones are sleeping

High end cellphones — that are not just for calling and texting. Amazing how most of them resemble mini computers now functionality-wise. I love how you can surf the net, read ebooks, take 5MP photos with a small gadget.

Facebook/Social Networking – the ability to contact old friends from high school, elementary never cease to amaze me.

And these from various sites and places all around the world.

Underwater Sculpture Park

The Underwater Sculpture Park is the work of sculptor Jason Taylor from England, who has a passion for creating fantastic and unique pieces of work depicting Grenada’s colourful history and folklore and placing them underwater. All of the sculptures are in beautiful clear shallow water easily accessible by divers and snorkelers. The sculptures end up creating artificial reefs, and enhancing the marine environment.

Power of Going Online

Someone’s enjoying too much Internet these days. So much that she has been hogging the laptop in the hallway but since she’s a relative, my husband couldn’t complain. I understand her because Internet makes everything convenient for you. Whether you’re looking for cheap airfare, free insurance quotes, real estate listings or researching, you can do all that without leaving your home. So now that my aunt-in-law has somehow conquered the Internet, I am gonna drop hints that she should consider getting herself a new laptop and a wireless connection so she can do all these in her own house. Not that we don’t want her visiting all the time but I’m sure my husband will be relieved to know that he can use his laptop when he wants to.
