I always worry about my parents growing weak and having accidents when they’re at home. I’ve heard so many stories about old people falling and that they never recovered. But thanks to Medical Alert products, our elders will now have immediate access to help wherever they are. The BrickHouse Alert system consists of two parts: BrickHouse Alert Tele-Assist for the home and BrickHouse Alert Mobile GPS which is a mobile watch. Unlike other home and emergency response systems, you don’t need to press the panic button to alert someone. With the help of the fall detector, the system will sense what happened and will instantly contact a professional emergency dispatch operator. Even if you couldn’t talk or respond, the trained dispatcher will send someone to your house. If you’re not at home, the GPS watch will send your location to your contacts. Other features that these devices offer are medication reminders, wake up calls, inactivity alerts, fall detectors and motion sensors. They are also both waterproof so you can wear it while taking the shower. This is where accidents usually happen so it’s really recommended that you wear it with you all the time.
I’m really grateful for medical alert products like these. It keeps my mind at ease knowing that someone will be there our elders even if we’re not around. This also gives them independence to do the things on their own without worrying that something might happen to them.
