Getting Ready Again

Finally, I’m done comparing one life insurance rate to another from all the previous quotes that we received last week. I wasn’t planning on getting a new plan but decided my benefit is not enough anymore considering the new addition in the family. Aside from that, we need to start planning for an educational plan for the baby just like the one with my firstborn. And here I was feeling so unburdened when we paid the last of our insurances last month only to start anew. It’s okay though because before we know it, we’re done paying. Plus it’s better to do them now while the kids are young. Soon they’ll go to big schools and our expenses will be twice or three times higher, no doubt about that.

Soon To Be Mine?

I know I shouldn’t be thinking of shopping especially now that we’re saving up to make a bulk payment on our lot property. However, I kept seeing tweets of my old boss’ and how he loves his new iPad. You know I’m a sucker for any Apple product even if I can’t afford them. Still, with the help of fast cash, I may be able to convince my husband to buy it for me just in time for my birthday in June. We can loan for as low as $100 up to $2500 and when I checked, he’s already pre-approved! So there’s really no stopping me from getting one. I’m sure he can pay it quickly the same month if he wants to. Besides, it’s my birthday and who knows, I may have given birth by then so it could also serve as my “push gift”.

Curious what is it that I want about iPad when I have a perfectly working 17″ laptop and a touch screen phone? Well, it’s the size really. The 17″ laptop is too huge and heavy to lug around while my phone’s screen, although considered big at 320px or so just makes my vision blurry.

Alternative to Stocks

I’ve been checking out the US Gold Bureaue website for months now because I’m really interested to buy gold coins. With the continuous drop of US dollars, we need to consider diversifying our investments. I checked the rates of both gold coins and bullions and although I don’t think we can afford the rare coins just yet, I’m happy to note that we can buy a mixture of Gold American Eagles, Silver coins and even platinum. According to their fAQ, it’s important to buy a mixture of precious metals to protect yourself from risks.

I believe gold is the safest way to protect your family’s wealth. Unlike paper and stocks, it is indestructible whether it’s melted, cooled or smashed. Plus if you look at the records, gold has proved to be a very successful method of preserving value when national currency fails.

Sad But True

Finding the best diet pills for women is like looking for the holy grail. There’s no such thing as one size fits all. Each body is different and I’ve seen plenty of expensive and celebrity-endorsed diet pills fail just because of this thinking. What I’m saying is if you really want the best, make sure you combine what you’re taking with right exercise and healthy food. Easier said than done but it’s the only way. If you’re looking for a temporary approach, go ahead and try which diet pill is right for you. For long-term weight loss however, nothing beats good ‘ol sweating and working out.

More Wallpapers to Inspire You

Whenever I start with a design concept, it’s important that I surround myself with things that can inspire me. It could be a blog, a cartoon drawing, a piece of fabric or even an old photo. It doesn’t matter as long as it lets my creative juices flowing. Most of the time, whenever I run out of ideas, I just click the desktop button on my toolbar and whatever is on my screen should be enough to refresh my head. So without further ado, let me showcase some really nice wallpapers for dual screens and triple monitors.

24 Hours Cash-ing!

Strapped for cash? Why don’t you try and get a cash advance? Cash advance or cash payday loans have been around for years and it has never failed to help those who seek solution on their short term cash problems. Your unexpected expenses could be as serious as as car repairs, replacing broken appliances that you can’t live without or hospital trips that are not covered by health insurance. Or it can be as simple as purchasing an item you’ve been saving up for so long, a trip to the beach. Either way, you can get cash advance from $100 to $2500 as long as you meet the very easy qualifications: a steady recurring income, a bank account, gross income of at least $1,000 per month. The reason for easy requirements is because cash advance is not a solution for long term financial problems. For mortgage or overdraft loan scenarios, a debt consolidation is still the best approach.

Weddings and Airbrushing

I just spent the entire day cleaning up exposed acne on a photograph. It’s for my photographer client who shoots weddings and birthdays. His recent subject has plenty of acne which at first I wasn’t sure how to fix but after 30 minutes of airbrushing, I suddenly got the hang of it. I tried my best not to make it look perfect or too air-brushed. They are not celebrities after all and a little imperfection makes the photos even more real.

Despite the skin problem however, the bride looked so happy and in love that it reminded me of my own wedding day. This is why I love working with anything that has to do with weddings. Whether it’s a web site design, an e-commerce shop for brides or as simple as editing a photo, I’m always filled with excitement and joy knowing someone’s life is about to be changed

Whew!

I’m glad I finished all my deliverables yesterday. Just found out that I got accepted to enter a design tournament and know that this will eat all of my working time today. I’m so excited though because of all 900+ contestants, they only selected 10 to enter based on their portfolio. Suffice to say that mine was nice enough to be included. What’s even better is that I already have a guaranteed fee if I can produce a great looking mockup in three days. And I know I will because based from the specs, it’s nothing that I haven’t done before. I’m so excited and hoping I get to win!
