Dress Up Party

Posted in what's up on July 20th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

My friends are planning another kick-ass party to celebrate one of our dear friend’s birthday. Just like every serious adult party that they organize, costumes and tons of booze are involved. Last year it was all about goth / emo but this year, they are thinking of moulin rouge or something similar. I could already see my lovely friends wearing tight corsets, fishnets and heavy eye make-up while the men will look smashing with their tuxedos or loose shirts and tight pants if they decide to go bohemian. I’m sure it’s going to be another fun night filled with photo shoot, games, good food and laughter.

DSL Alternative

My DSL service sucks for the past two weeks. Which is why I’m now looking for a back up whenever this happens. I’m not sure which to get from the two – I know speed has to do with the location. However, the reviews vary a lot and I can’t really get a reliable answer. I hope that whichever I choose will be stable enough so I can finish my work even if my main DSL sucks big time.

The Search for your Mate

Posted in online life on July 16th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

To find the mate of your dreams is an elusive search that all men and women seem to embrace. You search for the person that will fulfill your evolving expectations of who you want to share your life with. From the more traditional methods of dating to the unconventional patterns that are becoming more trendy everyday, all you seek is happiness, romance, and energized dates that will last a lifetime.

Only a few decades ago, the ritualistic courtship of two people did not involve cell phones, computers, or online profiles, but things have changed. In the pursuit of your partner you may have consulted friends, coworkers, family members, strangers, online services, or your own apartment building. It’s commonplace to step outside of your social circles and experiment with different hobbies in the hopes that you will meet someone new with which to create a trusting and healthy relationship.

Today, dating has become a job to some as they feel they need to prove themselves to a prospective suitor in order to remain appealing, attractive, and desirable. So much time and energy is expended as one attempts to find their match and hold onto them. But dating should be another exhilarating experience in life, one in which two people bring out the best in the other and make them feel like no other can. read more »

Power Out and Intermittent Connection

… can definitely make or break your career. No matter how amazing you are as a designer, if you can’t even attend a single conference call, upload your excellent work or update a client’s blog or page using CMS, then you’re no good for the company. I just wish my boss won’t see it that way and understand that it all has to do with the recent storm.

To make matters worse, I just got back from my maternity leave last Monday. It’s been four days and now and I’m nowhere near to finishing my deliverable. I hope tomorrow will be different. My boss and coworkers understand but for how long?

Rules for a Face to Face Encounter

In the age of the World Wide Web and online dating, meeting someone has
taken on new meaning. Stories don’t happen in a bar or at the local church anymore. Now a days, people meet in cyber space first before deciding to meet face to face.

While you may think you know someone well through hours of conversation online, you must be careful when deciding to meet them face to face. It’s a crazy world out there and people aren’t always what they seem, but if you follow a few simple guidelines you can be safe on your face to face meeting. First thing you want to do is to make sure you meet at a public and well lit place. Offer to meet at a restaurant and grab lunch. This not only makes for a low pressure first encounter but it also makes sure you keep your encounter public and much more safe.

Fix Me!

Wow. Would you look at that. When did Brittney Spears start looking like this again?

Even at a small resolution, you’d see how huge her head is. Removing eczema, adding a bit of curve, reducing cellulite are fine. But this. Oh man, someone is definitely in trouble at work! This reminds me when I used to have fun with my friends’ photos.

And this one? Just plain scary.

Oops. Someone had too much stretching this morning.

Crazy Tom

Saw crazy Tom Cruise’s video again last night. It’s the one where he had too much testosterone cream and had to jump from Oprah’s sofa. That one is really priceless.

They always say how Tom is a nice guy and that sometimes it gets too much. To some, it seems like Tom Cruise is just one of the roles that he’s playing. However, from time to time, you’d see a glimpse of crazy Tom which we all love and adore! I hope this is Katie’s doing. They say that she is brainwashed and all that but what if it’s the other way around? That because of her, Tom has a reason to come out of his shell, not follow the rules and be crazy!

Website To-Do’s

I finally gave birth! Which is why I’m taking it easy online and just working on urgent stuff at work. I’m still on maternity leave but since most of them are quick fixes and I’m doing nothing while the baby’s asleep, I’ve decided to do them rather than spend more time sending instructions. I got distracted reading alli reviews though so I may have to cut the list short for today. I promised my husband I won’t be working on anything major at least until the baby is a month old. I’d still blog of course. It’s my second favorite stress reliever next to watching movies.
