USB Chicken Burger

Love these unique and very bizarre products thta I found online. I wish I can come up with something as clever. But since I can’t think of anything aside from adult acne treatments in the form of a face mask, I’ll just continue posting this innovative and mostly useless products. One thing’s for sure, I would buy this first one in a heartbeat. An iPod Touch themed bedding with duvet and pillow cases. So geeky huh!

On Stubborn Dieters

Posted in health on September 29th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

No matter how many times we ask, “do diet pills work?”, it won’t do any lasting effect if we continue with our unhealthy diet and refuse to exercise at all. Trust me, I’ve seen it happen a dozen of times. Losing weight with the help of diet pills or those expensive shakes doesn’t mean the pounds will continue to stay away. In fact, a mere two to three days of eating without portion control can easily gain you 5 pounds with two of them staying for keeps unless you exercise. You might as well keep photoshopping yourself to reduce those unwanted fats if working out is not on your vocabulary.

Would you believe what my dear daughter asks for Christmas? Her own iphone, what else? After seeing how much fun she can have with my apps, she now wants one. Not that it’s gonna happen anytime soon. After all, it took me two years even before I convinced myself that iPhone is worth its price. And it is. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to using other mobile phones anymore. I used to wonder what the big fuss was but now I know. The user interface is just the first of the many things that I love about my iPhone. Don’t let me start on the millions of apps that can make me life and work easy because I’ll never stop! I am an iPhone fan and will be more so if they can find a way to make flash work. :) As for my daughter, if she’s nice enough, I may be convinced to get her an iTouch instead.

GMAT Test Prep: Educate Yourself and Have Time for Your Hobbies

Posted in work on September 28th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

When you’re dealing with work all the time, you won’t have a lot of time to pursue your hobbies. Photography and scrapbooking, or anything else you like to do, will eventually fall by the wayside because you’re just too tired to do anything after work. It doesn’t have to be that way, though, so don’t give up on those passions that you have. Instead, go back to school and get a better education. That will provide you with a better-paying job and let you work fewer hours to make ends meet. The result? More time for the hobbies that you love.

Now That’s One Fab Wall

Some of them seem like web / graphic design to me. Nevertheless, they still kick ass. I probably won’t be able to do something like this unless I earn enough money to build a house with my own studio. For now, I’ll just use this as inspiration for this web re-design project about fun office environment.

Rustic

If I have extra budget for our dream home, I’d definitely buy some cabin furniture. I love rustic decors mainly because it reminds me of childhood trips with my parents. Up to now, I still enjoy checking in cabin-type resorts in the mountains. So if I could bring that feeling into our home, then why not? OR, I could get some pieces like these so the house can have a country-shabby-chic feel to it.

Anyway, it’s still a long way to go. My vision for our house changes every month. In the last 8 months, we went from zen/modern to country to art deco to contemporary.

Great Tools for Weight Loss

Posted in food, technology, websites on September 25th, 2010 by admin – 3 Comments

Ever since I gave birth, I got addicted to all kinds of weight loss tools. I’m not saying I’m obsessed to lose weight or anything but I just love the idea that with the help of a calorie counter, you can control your weight gain/loss easily. Right now, I am a frequent visitor of FitClick.com. This site offers free tools that can help you achieve your weight goals and also offer a way to live a fit and healthy lifestyle. With so many diet plans to choose from, it’s just hard to know which one will work for you. It’s  not always a 100% guarantee just because it worked on a certain celebrity or even a friend. When it comes to dieting, it’s never a one-size-fits-all package. You should be focused and dedicated if you really want to lose weight.

There are plenty of tools at FitClick.com that can help you do it right. Their calorie calculator for example lets you input your age, height and weight, gender and it will give you:

- the amount of calories you should take for maintenance only, if you’re happy with your current weight, that is.

- weight loss level, the number of calories you should take if you want to lose approximately 1lb a week.

The results are just guidelines (thank God for that) but it will help you plan how much you need to take each day. As for me I got 1621 calories a day in order for me to maintain my weight. Not much but with a few adjustments to my breakfast and snack, I guess I can limit it to 1800 tops. I also selected Sedentary for my activity level – seated at a desk the whole day but didn’t take into consideration that I’m also breastfeeding and walking a lot while carrying the baby. Those two alone should be enough to burn extra 500 or so calories in one day. :)

Handbags – Customize This Common Accessory To Suit Your Personality

A person who loves art will see an opportunity to create beauty out of even inane and ordinary objects. Almost every woman owns a handbag. In fact, every person invariably has more than two because different bags are used for different occasions. It is a part of standard female attire. Of course, it is a very useful accessory and helps women carry lots of useful stuff all at once. Men are forced to make do with a wallet often held in the pocket of the trousers. On the other hand, women can go in for purses, handbags and accessories of different sizes.
