Shiny floors and that hanging seating area is just spectacular.

Another play with natural lighting. Looks so real except for the bed sheets.

The details are simply amazing.

Looks like a CGI cartoon but great nonetheless.

I’ll Never Get Tired of Reading

Posted in art, entertainment, home, online life on October 8th, 2009 by admin – Be the first to comment

about …

Travels – where to go, how much the packages are, where to eat

Losing weight – the right diet, diet pills, exercise program, hip-hop routines, pilates, yoga.

Movies – top 10, 50, 100; great movie dialogues, from books to big screen

Hollywood gossip – just can’t get enough of this. It has been my guilty pleasure for so long.

Food / restaurant reviews – not just the hottest place but also the most hidden and not-so-popular ones. I also like those restaurants that can accommodate a few people at the same time. Then there’s also food festivals and wine/alcohol events.

Design / art – I want to surround myself with all types of art. I’m not one of those artsy-fartsy types. I just want to be consistently amazed by art whether it’s good or bad.

Ten on Tuesday – 10 Cool Things

Posted in art, gadgets, online life, websites on September 15th, 2009 by admin – 9 Comments

iPod Videos — I can’t leave without them. It’s a must for parents who can’t turn on their TV sets at night because the little ones are sleeping

High end cellphones — that are not just for calling and texting. Amazing how most of them resemble mini computers now functionality-wise. I love how you can surf the net, read ebooks, take 5MP photos with a small gadget.

Facebook/Social Networking – the ability to contact old friends from high school, elementary never cease to amaze me.

And these from various sites and places all around the world.

Hand scultpure -

Deep in the the Atacama desert in Chile emerges a giant sculpture of a hand. A popular photo spot for tourist visiting the Atacama. The hand was constructed at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level. The work has a base of iron and cement, and stands 11 meters tall. The sculpture was inaugurated on March 28, 1992. The sculpture is located about 70 kilometers to the south of Antofagasta, Chile. The artist behind Mano de Desierto, The Hand of the Desert is the Chilean sculptor Mario Irarrázabal.

Underwater Sculpture Park

The Underwater Sculpture Park is the work of sculptor Jason Taylor from England, who has a passion for creating fantastic and unique pieces of work depicting Grenada’s colourful history and folklore and placing them underwater. All of the sculptures are in beautiful clear shallow water easily accessible by divers and snorkelers. The sculptures end up creating artificial reefs, and enhancing the marine environment.

Accessorize!

I’m going ga-ga over Forever 21 accessories. I was supposed to be researching for cat supplies but I got distracted with these beauties.

My mom told me she can be me most of them when she visits a local tiangge near our old house so I’m listing down the items that I wanted her to check out for me.  I could probably just order them online now but  just in case they are cheaper here, I don’t want to miss out on saving some cash so I can hoard some more. See below.

Art on the Wall – Creative Graffiti

Posted in art on August 14th, 2009 by admin – 3 Comments

Just some of my favorites from this post.

Take note that these are real graffiti artworks, not just digitally manipulated photos. They remind me so much of murals and art contests that I’ve joined fifteen years ago. Creating something as beautiful and big as this gives you a high that you will not get from prohibited substance.

Great Vintage Collages

Posted in art, graphics and web design on August 7th, 2009 by admin – Be the first to comment

I’m a fan of all things vintage – photographs, accessories, clothes, furniture, old postcards, etc. So when I saw these awesome collection of vintage collages, I can’t help but share it here on my blog too. I was actually planning on using the same look and feel for my new portfolio site but changed my mind at the last minute. Nevertheless, they are still wonderful and somehow reminds me of my childhood when I used to cut newspaper clippings and magazine photos. It’s also the reason why I love the Griffin and Sabine trilogy.

All Kinds of Art Supplies

Posted in art, websites on August 7th, 2009 by admin – Be the first to comment

I’m glad to see that pottery is getting popular again. Some schools and plenty of organizations are now adding pottery to their art programs. Personally, I’d like to give pottery a try ever since I stumbled upon Amaco, a site that sells arts and crafts supplies. Their products range from pottery supplies such as pottery tiles, sculpture supplies, brushes, modeling clays, warm glass supplies and lead free glazes/underglazes.

What’s great about their site is that they have complete supply kits to make it easier for you, the budding pottery artist to shop. For basic to advanced pottery programs, you can ceramic pottery kilns. The most basic kit includes a furniture kit, KilnVent-Stand version, kiln gloves, stilt kit, brush set (18 items), set of 5 hardwood modeling tool and 8 wire clay cutter.

Amaco believes that children deserve safe classrooms and successful art projects whether the school has a limited budget. With this aim in mind, their products are not only affordable but of top quality and formulated for safety.

Creative Moleskine Covers

Posted in art, graphics and web design on August 4th, 2009 by admin – Be the first to comment

Check out these amazing moleskine covers. As soon as I saw them, I knew I have to make a post about it. I love moleskine and now I’m so excited to design my own cover too. I unearthed my old notebooks from High School during last week’s garage sale and was surprised to see that some of my artwork isn’t that bad at all. I shall post them here as soon as I have them scanned.

Complete list for these covers can be found at ffffffive.com

Cool Wallpapers For Your Desktop

Loving my laptop’s wallpaper right now.

You can download nice wallpapers to inspire and fuel your creativity here. If you browse some of the sections, you’ll find wallpapers for dual monitors as well.

And incidentally enough, while browsing for ideas for Halloween party invitations that I’m working on, I came across a kick-ass tutorial on how to re-create the wallpaper above. I’ve yet to try it out but I think it’s a great idea for a clean, minimalist theme for Wordpress.

Fun Coffee Designs

Posted in art, food on July 9th, 2009 by admin – 3 Comments

With all the junk and sweets that I’ve been eating lately, it will be no surprise when I start shopping for Solo Slim online. But I will restrain myself. Instead of feasting on mango bravo/chocolate turtle pie/choco walnut cake/triple choco mousse(see, the names alone will make you want to eat), I’ll hit the treadmill OR better yet (exercise is always my last resort), I’ll just drink coffee and nothing else.

Okay so I may not be proposing the healthiest way to eat here so please ignore me. Do enjoy these beautifully designed coffee though. Reminds me so much of Coffee Prince days.
