Website Inspirations – Health and Sports

Posted in graphics and web design, health, websites on August 29th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

My re-design project for a web site offering life insurance quotes online have taught me a lot of things when it comes to insurance. For one, I found out that I can get a cheaper life insurance called term life which can cover me for a specific period of time. It’s cheap, it’s convenient and perfect if you’re planning to travel for a few years and want to be covered.

Anyway, I’ve seen several health-related and sports web sites while working on this project. For inspiration, I’ve selected my top three favorites and showcased them here.

17 Again?

Everyone (well, almost) I know wants to try and buy human growth hormone because of the fact that it can make you lose weight. All I know about HGH is that there was a ban on HGH injections before as it can cause a lot of side effects. However, there are HGH supplements all over the world wide web now claiming that they are a safe way to build muscle and fight back aging. It is 100% steroid-free, legal and no prescription required. What’s making it popular is the fact that it can reduce excess body fat and reduce wrinkles. You know how vain women are (that includes me). We all love to try things as long as it can restore our youthful skin and take off excess pounds brought about by pregnancy or age. Still, the fact remains that if you must try one of these supplements, make sure you have done your research and read about any possible side effects.

Well-prepared

Ever since we bought a life insurance for me and my husband, I just feel so secure and confident that our daughter will be fine if something happens to us. That was five years ago and now that we’ve finished paying both our policies, we are thinking of getting another one now that a new baby is on the way. After a couple of computations, we decided we can afford it without having to give up one of our little pleasures such as semi-annual trips and occasional splurge on gadgets and electronics. And even if we do have to give up some (not all) of them, it’s totally fine because being prepared for the future is much important.

Stronger and Leaner

Now that my husband is serious in getting back into shape, his wish lists have changed. From gadgets and electronics, he now wants a pull up bar, work bench, and several plates in different weights. I want to encourage him by getting him one of these. After all, he’s doing me a favor by exercising. I don’t have to worry about his health plus he’s getting stronger which will be helpful later on when the new baby is here. In fact, that’s one of the reasons why he decided to lift weights again. He felt like he was getting old because he kept having muscle pains and discomforts after a 20-minute basketball game. Now that he’s back to eating healthy and getting some muscle definition, he feels like he can run for an hour and still have strength to enjoy the rest of the night either with the kids or with his friends. Good for him and I hope his determination to stay fit will rub on me as soon as I give birth.

I’d Rather Burn The Hard Way

So many articles about apidexin online. Is it really the most effective way to lose weight? It doesn’t seem as pricey as I thought for $49.95 a bottle but it’s so popular that anyone who’s struggling with their weight will probably be tempted to buy. According to some web sites, it’s set out to be the “world’s best fast burner”. You can even lose as much as 4-7 pounds per week without any effort at all. Now when you see something like that, you can’t help but think how safe it is. I am not an expert but 7lbs a week is a little too much for a permanent weight loss. I guess this will help those who needs to shed pounds before a very important even like a wedding or high school reunion. For a lasting and healthy weight loss, however, I’d say forget the doughnuts and start hitting the treadmill until you are strong enough to some heavy work out.

Sad But True

Finding the best diet pills for women is like looking for the holy grail. There’s no such thing as one size fits all. Each body is different and I’ve seen plenty of expensive and celebrity-endorsed diet pills fail just because of this thinking. What I’m saying is if you really want the best, make sure you combine what you’re taking with right exercise and healthy food. Easier said than done but it’s the only way. If you’re looking for a temporary approach, go ahead and try which diet pill is right for you. For long-term weight loss however, nothing beats good ‘ol sweating and working out.

Muscle for Inspiration

My brother’s latest pastime is reading muscle supplement reviews. Ever since he gained 40 lbs, losing weight is all he can think about. When that failed, he distracted himself by buying fast motorbikes, joining air-soft games and basically spending money on expensive gadgets. However, after watching a few episodes of the biggest loser, he suddenly had the need to get fit again. He said he doesn’t care about the weighing scale anymore. He’d rather start by building muscles, hence the muscle supplements and then by the time his extra flabs are all gone, he’d feel good about himself to start eating right. I’m sure there’s a wrong logic there somewhere but I’m glad he found something that inspires him to get back into shape again.

Easy Way Out

No time to exercise? Spare yourself the trouble and access www.fatburnerpill.org. Not only you’ll have plenty of options to choose from but also, you’ll be able to tell yourself that you’ve made your research thoroughly before buying anything online. That’s the only thing that I recommend for those who want to lose weight the easy way. If you don’t have the time to exercise, at least exert an effort to read about what you’re planning to put into your body to avoid any health problems. The Internet is huge and not reading reviews and researching on disadvantages is just unacceptable when purchasing a foreign health product.

Health and the Internet

These days, you can get answer to about almost anything in the Internet. Need natural hemorrhoid treatment? Google it and you’ll see tons of blog posts, health articles and online shops that are guaranteed to make you dizzy with options. What I suggest is go for review sites that compare products side by side or trusted web sites with testimonials from real people. It’s hard to recognize which ones are genuine but with thorough research, you’ll be able to separate the bogus stuff from the real deal.

So don’t you just love the Internet? Just be cautious when looking for health related articles. Most articles can scare you to death so it’s always best to check with a medical professional if ever you want to try a treatment or alternative approach to whatever’s ailing you.

Cleansed

My aunt is considering undergoing a colon cleansing weight loss treatment as soon as she saw it on TV last week. Apparently, colon cleansing can help you drop weight fast. There are rumors all over the market that you can lose as much as 7lbs but according to articles I’ve read, that’s only water weight and temporary.

Just like everything else, one must research not only the advantage but also the downside of taking any supplements, treatments especially if you only learned them in the Internet or TV. One thing I can be sure of, colon cleansing, even if it won’t help you lose weight is something that everyone should try at least once a year. To rid yourself of dangerous toxins is the best way to get started in living a healthy life.

Too Sure

We have so many life insurance leads
that I don’t know what to do with them anymore. I only mentioned in passing that I
want to upgrade my current package and all of a sudden, my mailbox is filled with
different offers from various companies. I love how convenient technology is but sometimes, I’d rather talk to someone in person and discuss my needs. Perhaps I should give our old agent a call and ask if I can upgrade without purchasing a new plan.

Big and Hungry

Posted in health on February 15th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

With the way I’m eating these days, I’d probably need an appetite suppressant if only I’m not pregnant. My husband and I love food but even he gets shocked whenever he sees me get a 3rd or 4th servings of rice or pasta. But what can I do? I’m just so hungry all the time. And if I don’t eat what I want, either the baby kicks a lot or I’ll get really dizzy that I won’t be able to work at all. I’m trying to balance it by eating fruits during snack time and walking on the treadmill for 15-20 minutes daily. The doctor said the baby has average weight from our last check up so it’s just me who’s getting huge!

Pre-Natal Care

Just because your friend thinks she’s taking best prenatal vitamin doesn’t mean it could be good for you too. Not all bodies are created equal and some women don’t need as much supplements. Myself is an example as I only drink one vitamin for the whole term. I know of a friend who has to drink 4 kinds just to keep herself and the baby healthy. It’s not because I’m healthier than she is, that’s just how our bodies were built. And just like what my OB tells me, plenty of nutrients included in the vitamins can be found on food and drinks as well.

Feeling Good

Posted in health on February 10th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

I can’t talk enough on how good I feel about myself right now. Ever since the 2nd trimester began, I’m more active and alert. Not that hungry all the time as well and I can even exercise for 5-10 minutes every morning. And I know I mentioned too many times how I don’t need any best wrinkle treatments because of my lovely skin. Working isn’t as hard now. I can finish all my deliverables in time and still have energy to spend time with my daughter or watch my favorite TV shows. I need to take advantage of this stage because I’m almost positive that things are gonna be hard when I reach 3rd trimester. It’s gonna be the start of sleepless nights and aching joints all over again!

Say No to Dieting

Posted in health, home, what's up on February 9th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

Reading fat burner reviews used to be my past time when I noticed that I was gaining weight no matter how much I diet. It turned out I was pregnant and to my utmost happiness, learned that I don’t have to diet at all! On my first trimester, I are all kinds of food that I woudln’t normally eat because I’m afraid to gain weight. But since it was the only way I could cure my morning / whole day sickness, I indulged myself. And boy was it heaven whenever I eat something so good (or should I say bad) and so rich, regardless if it’s a crispy bacon or moist chocolate cake. Now that I’m on my 2nd trimester, I watch what I eat again but not as paranoid as I used to be. I know my baby deserves to have all the nutrients she needs so even though I eat a lot, I make sure they are healthy for the both of us.
