Weight Watch

Posted in health, what's up on November 6th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

Reading about diet pills weight loss at this hour makes me hungry. I can’t imagine ever depriving myself of cakes and pastries unless health is involved. My husband and I both love to eat with passion so dieting is always out of the question. We do exercise whenever our jeans start to become tight around the waist. But after that, we go back to eating like there’s no tomorrow. Which is fine as long as we don’t go over 10 lbs of our current weight. It’s important to watch how much we’re gaining because with our age, it’s so easy to let yourself go.

Work and Energy

Every working mom needs the best multivitamins especially if they have a newborn baby like me. I never sleep for longer than an hour anymore but thankfully, I work from home so I don’t have to waste time to get dressed and commute to work. As soon as the baby is asleep, I can just go to my work area wearing my PJs and start designing. With that said, I need to finish the following before the day ends:

- Convert a design to CMS Made Simple

- Edit a Joomla template

- Send four design quotes to new clients

- Revise the initial logo studies

- Finalize brochure text and layout

Lose Weight By Eating

Everyone who loves to eat (like yours truly) would want to know what are the foods that burn fat. You’d be glad to know that eating a specific group of food can actually help you speed up your metabolism. They do this by increasing the rate at which your body burns calories. Here are some of them so you can add it to your daily diet – cinnamon, ginger, apples, citrus fruits, soybeans, garlic, green tea and essential fatty acids. They are so common that you don’t even have to exert an effort to find a way to incorporate them to your meal.

MBT Shoes = Fitness

image Saw these mbt shoes on TV and I got curious about its capacity to improve the use of your joints and spine. God knows I need all the workout I could get so it walking / running around with MBT (Masai Barefoot Technology) shoes can help me achieve that, then I’m willing to give it a try. According to the site, it can strengthen and tone your muscles in the feet, legs, buttocks, stomach and back. It also helps in increasing the muscle activity and circulation therefore reducing cellulite (oh my tell me this is true please!) and varicose veins.

I knew there was a reason why my mom kept nagging me to walk and stand up straight! It doesn’t only make you look good but it also makes us healthier and stronger.

Sugar Rush

Talking about fat burners with my girlfriends at this hour is giving me a headache. I see what they’re so obsessed about, after all, I’ve been there myself. But to deprive yourself of these yummy treats is something that I could never forgive.

Okay, I’m going overboard there but pastries and sweets have always been my weakness. If someone says that I will look fabulous if I live without them, well you couldn’t exactly call that living right? Pardon the rambling, I just need my daily dose of sugar today and all my friends could talk about is living on salads without dressing.

Health and Fitness

If there’s one gift I can give the husband that he wants, it will be a new set of gym equipments or a best muscle building supplement. He’s really into building muscles lately. After seeing his photos from 2005-2010, he said he didn’t look good or healthy on any of them. He may be thin on some but that doesn’t mean he looks great. So he vowed to build muscles and stop caring about what the weighing scale says. I wholeheartedly support him because not only will this boost his ego, but it will keep him healthy too, which for me, will always be the most important thing.

Quick Weight Loss

This is the one of the hottest topics again in the parenting forums today. So far, what is the best diet pill that you have taken? I guess I can understand the need to lose all that post-pregnancy weight. I’m just worried if some of them are breastfeeding. I really hope not because you can never tell how much of what you eat gets passed from your breast milk to the baby. All I can say is, nothing beats exercise. I know I’m not one to talk as I rarely lift a finger. I’m just lucky to lose weight due to breastfeeding but still, I believe that a quick run to the park or some lunges at home is way better than taking pills. Also, if any of them don’t work, I’m sure the sleepless nights will make up for it! My point is, try waiting for 6 months before you go and try a diet plan. Who knows, you might have lost 90% of your post-partum pounds by then.

On Stubborn Dieters

No matter how many times we ask, “do diet pills work?”, it won’t do any lasting effect if we continue with our unhealthy diet and refuse to exercise at all. Trust me, I’ve seen it happen a dozen of times. Losing weight with the help of diet pills or those expensive shakes doesn’t mean the pounds will continue to stay away. In fact, a mere two to three days of eating without portion control can easily gain you 5 pounds with two of them staying for keeps unless you exercise. You might as well keep photoshopping yourself to reduce those unwanted fats if working out is not on your vocabulary.
