Sink or Swim

This is how much of a gossip monger I am. When I see posts about celebrities whether it’s for celebrity wedding trends, celebrity mommas who just gave birth, Hollywood couples splitting up, I read them all no matter how busy I am. And then I blog about it. That way, other gossips can read about them if they haven’t already.

This is why you’ll often see perezhilton.com, eOnline, The Hollywood Gossip on my browsing history and bookmarks. Aside from work and online shopping, this is what keeps me busy. That is – if the kids and husband don’t need me. Sometimes I pretend I’m working on my iphone but the truth is I’m just reading gossips.

Yeah. I need a diversion. Who doesn’t? Thank God mine isn’t expensive and my husband should be happy. Oh wait, I did mention online shopping right?

To-dos for this week:

Find inspiration for graduation invitations that I need to design for a client.

Finish the WordPress website that I’m developing so the client can populate the pages.

Design new logos for a friend. This one’s a pro bono project. Something to help her on her new business venture.

Make sure all tasks are done by next Thursday so I can attend my daughter’s PTA meeting.

Forget about acquiring new projects. Just finish all my backlogs first.

Trying to decide between yellow box shoes or Charles & Keith pumps is my biggest concern this morning. Not work, not breakfast, not even my kids who are sleeping soundly in the other room. I am shallow that way but we all deserve to be like that from time to time. After all, mothers are supposed to be superheroes who can do anything and everything they want to. So why not add a flaw here and there? But I digress. It’s just that I need something to wear for the wedding that I’m attending next week. All my shoes are either too outdated in style or the colors are just not perfect for the dress that I have in mind and haven’t bought yet. That’s how busy mothers are, you know. But enough with this nonsense, personal post. I need to get back to designing or else I wouldn’t have any cash to spend at all for my new clothes and shoes.

Found the perfect football gift for my nephew this morning – a personalized football from reportsinc.com. I’m planning to design a logo with his name on it so they can print it on the football. I’m sure he’ll be ecstatic when it arrives on his doorstep. According to the site, you can get a design proof within 48 hours of order placement. Which is why I need to order fast knowing I will have to approve the proof before they process my order. I can’t wait!

Lately, I’ve been using scrapbook elements for designing web sites. It’s perfect for those who want out-of-the-box designs and provide a feel that they can touch something. WordPress themes with similar concept are also getting popular so I’ve decided to do a roundup of some of them. See below for what I found online. source

I’m trying to score a pair of Air Jordans for my nephew’s birthday. I heard he made the basketball team so I want to surprise him with this retro pair. This sports Max Air for cushioning, podulon technology for comfort and very lightweight so you can jump as high as you want.

As soon as the husband saw me browsing them, he wanted to have a pair too. They are not exactly cheap so I told him to wait for his turn (his birthday is 6 months from now ROFL) since I’m buying this for HIS nephew, not mine.

I’ve searched the net on how to get rid of blackheads on nose but I ended up with not one but two zits caused by the so-called natural ingredients that I applied. And as if the web is mocking me, I stumbled upon this article about Hollywood celebrities who go out without make up and they look great! It could’ve been easier to say that they only look good because of what they put on their faces. But this just shows you that life is never fair.
